Japanese Encephalitis Vaccination
Facts you should know about Japanese Encephalitis

Japanese encephalitis may be a virus within the flavivirus family. It passes through a culex mosquito. It can also infect pigs and horses along with human but the effects are different from humans. Horses get encephalitis and pigs go through miscarriages.

It spreads to people by using a host of an epidemic. The natural hosts can be wild birds and the vectors are likely to be the mosquitoes. It won’t cause death but sure will pass it on to someone else.

An animal acts as a carrier of the virus after getting infected by the mosquitoes. It is obvious that there will be other mosquitoes that lie on this carrier (animal) and these mosquitoes will spread the virus on to some other animals. Rural areas get infected the most by this virus and the people who stay in these areas need to follow Japanese encephalitis preventionmethods. This will usually affect the childrens the most and the adults will get immune to this virus as they grow old.
